Corey and Maple are twins surrendered to THS in 2022 (DOB 2021). They were a housewarming gift to a newly wed couple who just purchase a property with some land. Though they were not looking to add farm friends to their lives, they gave it a go. After a while it became apparent that this lifestyle was not for them. Instead of releasing them to the wild or slaughtering them like so many do, they searched for a safe landing spot for them.

They had a wonderful life prior to sanctuary, which is so rare to see, and we are so blessed to have them here with us. They are great ambassadors for our other residents that have lived through horrific traumas and take comfort in seeing a friend happy with our care.

Corey is the lighter of the two, Maple has significant black streaks. Both suffer from CAE, with Maple having the brunt of the symptoms. She is medicated daily for her swollen joints. These girls have stayed very closely bonded and love their herd.

They love giving little tail wags when they are happy to see you, and enjoy any and all snacks.
