Franny

We shared our final kisses with Franny in June of 2026. She was a special girl and she’s sorely missed. We know that she found the wind in her mane over the Rainbow Bridge. Franny came home to Tiny Hooves in 2023. Our amazing farrier rescued her from neglect. Franny had been a broodmare her entire life, endlessly making babies to have them taken and sold off. As she aged, the facility did not provide her with any health care or proper nutrition. Our farrier took her home to her barn and spent a year working on getting her healthy again. We offered to give her a safe and comfortable forever here with us. Franny was a fun mix of silly, sassy, and sweet, and we just adored her! She had good horse friends here, but her absolute best friend in the entire world was Aurora. They shared a stall together at night where they have access to their senior meals. You could often find them grooming each other, the love was real and true. Besides being with her bestie, Franny’s favorite things were rolling in the mud or dirt, lounging in the sunshine, and eating her special food each morning and night!

Natalia

Natalia arrived to Tiny Hooves Sanctuary in June 2020. She lived a beautiful life of kindness, care and above all, deserved freedom here at the Sanctuary. But unfortunately, her body grew tired and we said our loving goodbyes in October 2026. All of us will miss her so much as her personality was a big as she was. Natalia was what we call a “freedom jumper”. She jumped off a transport truck at 3 weeks old that was heading to a finishing farm, where piglets are raised to 6 months to then be slaughtered. Two wonderful people helped care for her - picked her up from the road, bathed her, provided her with the care she so desperately needed. Once feeling better, they transported her up to us, and she had been happily living with us since! Natalia loved her “brother” Amari, always following him around. If she wasn’t by Amari, she was digging in the dirt for bugs or napping in the straw in the sun. Natalia liked every single item of food known to man, and was quite vocal around meal times. She was a big lovebug, always giving out snout kisses and love! Rest in peaceful slumber in the best wallow at the Rainbow Bridge sweet Natalia.
