Lilo

Lilo was rescued in 2014 while the sanctuary was being built and nonprofit status was being filed. She was rescued at two months old from a neighbor whose dogs had puppies. Lilo was the runt of the litter, and struggled to get by. She had to be separated to nurse from her mom because her siblings were significantly larger than her and always pushed her out of the way. She is one of the founding members of the sanctuary and has helped founder Beca every step of the way. She takes great pride in the farm and knows all of the residents. Lilo has helped us care for any baby residents, sick residents, and injured residents. She showers them with kisses and protects them. She may only be 6 pounds, but she is mighty, and protects the residents and the farm with all she’s got! Some of her favorite things are laying in the sunshine, going for rides in the truck, checking on the residents, eating carrots, and tucking in under the covers for movie night!
