Opal
Opal is a Cornish cross hen that was found abandoned on a property with her 3 siblings. All four were seized by animal control and brought to TH to live out their lives in sanctuary. Opal was very ill and had severe bumblefoot, which is an infection on the bottom of their feet. She recovered well, and is a beautiful lady, full of spunk, curiosity, skillful thinking, and of course, all the kindness that sweet Cornish chickens have. She recently lost her partner Chuck, but has been successfully introduced to Phoenix, a rescue rooster. They have hit it off and are doing great! Opal's favorite things in life are dirt bathes, sunshine, eating, roaming/wandering, and loving life.
