As we move into our next decade of providing sanctuary, we are reflecting on the past, while focusing on the future. Our needs have grown and changed over the years, but our mission remains the same: to rescue, rehabilitate, and offer forever homes to abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted farmed animals. We know that Tiny Hooves continues to thrive thanks to support from all of you - our community.
We may be closed to new intakes - but lifelong sanctuary with top notch vet care - especially for our senior and special needs animals - will always be our priority.
Why $30K?
It takes $25-$30K EVERY MONTH to operate Tiny Hooves.
In the winter months, our expenses skyrocket! Some examples.
⚡️ Our Energy Bill: has more than DOUBLED - from $397 in November to $883 in December!
🌾 Hay: The animals eat more to help maintain their body heat - we spent over $10K on hay alone last year!
🪵 Shavings: We use more shavings in the winter -
every time we have to keep the animals in the barn due to cold weather,
the stalls need to be cleaned more often, and we have a FULL BARN on cold days!
