At Tiny Hooves Sanctuary, our mission is to provide a loving, safe haven for animals in need. Right now, we’re facing a critical challenge.

We need to raise $30,000 to:

  • pay down medical and high interest debt

  • establish an emergency medical fund

  • continue to operate as a sanctuary for over 140 rescued farmed animals

This is essential to keep our doors open and continue offering the care our animal family relies on.

How will we spend $30k?

Right now, times are incredibly tough, and we are literally fundraising for each bill we pay. We are raising 30K to keep our doors open
and to help pay down some outstanding debt.

The first 15K will be spent on operating expenses. This will help us keep our doors open and providing daily sanctuary to over 140 rescued farmed animals.

Any additional funds will go towards paying down outstanding medical debt, high interest debt and starting an emergency medical fund. Stretch goals include a bulk purchasing fund to save on items we use daily, like shavings.

Operating Expenses Include:

Monthly $29K+ (see graphic above)

  • Animal Care: Any cost relating to animal care including feed, produce, supplements, bedding, meds, enrichment materials, treats, routine vet care, shearing, farrier, in house medical supplies, shelters, housing, cremation.

  • Admin & Operating: General programs and operations including taxes, insurance, licensing, state fees, accounting, program subscriptions, administrative costs, web hosting, subscriptions, postage, credit card payments, loan payments, rent, volunteer/employee training, incentives and meals.

  • Facilities & Maintenance: Any cost relating to property maintenance and repairs including utilities, contract labor, bio-security, general improvements, equipment and vehicle maintenance.

  • Payroll: We have 2 full time & 1 part time paid animal care employees. Everyone else is a volunteer, including our board members.

  • Fundraising & Resale: Any cost relating to fundraising including merchandise for resale (gift shop, online & in-person events), on and off-site event expenses (booth fee, display items, food, decorations), advertising (online ads, boosted posts, printing fees.

Interest Bearing Loans:

  • $2,083.00 - Tractor Supply Credit Card - 22.16%

  • $38,831.56 - SBA Loan - 2.75% - $200 payment monthly

Outstanding Medical Debt:

Approx: $5,856

While our medical debt is always changing as we are making payments and also providing additional necessary medical care, this is an estimate of our outstanding debt at the beginning of this fundraiser.

  • $5856.11 - Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic

Starting an Emergency Medical Fund:

GOAL: $5,000+

We have exhausted our emergency funds, and any emergency bills are being paid from our operating funds, which are now dwindling.

We have a donor who will match up to $5,000 raised towards medical bills paid off to be put in an emergency medical fund savings account separate from our daily operating fund. Example: we raise 5,000 to pay to Elkhorn’s bill and $5,000 will be put in an emergency medical fund for future emergencies.

These are the kinds of things that have lasting, long term effects on how we operate, and it’s all thanks to you!!!
