Hank Indigo

Hank Indigo arrived at Tiny Hooves Sanctuary on July 27, 2019.  He is a rescue from a dairy farm in Vermont, where he was being raised for veal. A kind hearted man reached out to us to rescue this baby from his horrible fate. Our sanctuary crew drove to Pennsylvania to pick up this baby boy when he was just 6 weeks old. Hank had spent his entire life up until that point tied to the wall with twine around his neck. He was never allowed to be with his mother, never allowed to nurse from her, and never received the love that sweet baby cows desperately need. When he arrived he was very broken. With all the love our volunteers give, he gained strength, physically and mentally, back quickly, and now jumps around, plays, and moos just like other calves. This sweet little boy has been "diagnosed" as a mini cow!  Now that we know he will never be big enough to join our cows, we are hoping to find him a friend.  In the meantime, he loves the sheep family, and eats and sleeps with them!
